We started in November 1995 as a duo (Deke & Will) for some sessions. Dan, who has played with us in various totally unknown bands, joined in 1996 before the first album (Battle Beyond the Stars) had been finished. It was mainly about to realize songs. From this point of view we are probably quite boring, compared to the way for example DJs or other homies work.
Our name is taken from the novel "Willard and his Bowling Trophies: A Perverse Misery" by Richard Brautigan. Deke also loves Dennis Cooper, William S. Burroughs, Ed Sanders and Richard Linklater, especially the movies "Slacker" and "Dazed & Confused". So far to understand our stuff and lyrics. Musically there are quite a lot influences.
