Destroy Corporate Rock With Howard
Hughes was recorded between October 1997 (Case of Fire) and May 1998
(Scenic Byway) at the Ballyhoo Valley, only 4-track by Dan and mostly
on thursdays. Besides no George has been involved. Mixing and mastering happened
also at Ballyhoo Valley in May 1998. Now we start to like it right that way
and hope you do so.
Howard Hughes is a 1978 single by The Tights (Cherry Red 2). Howard Hughes (see picture) is a quite famous Hollywood tycoon and aviation pioneer. Destroy Corporate Rock is a nice SST slogan and also available on a T-Shirt. You should buy and wear it. If not, think about your strategies. Now you know what it is all about. Suddenly in '98 we realized that modern life novelisations suck. BTW this is our first CD only release. |
We are a threesome Dan, Deke and Will (no line-up change at all) playing guitars, bass, synths, drum computer, tape, percussions and sing.
Thank you's (in no specific order): Steffi for her (illegal) vocals on G. Washington High, Limbo for his distorted guitar on Howard Hughes (it's perfect on the album though), Akiko, Hiromi and Niko for being interested in us. We appreciate...
One track is not mentioned on the cover. It starts about 60 seconds after the last (?) song and has the candy title Old Fashioned Werewolf Song.
You'll find some other outtakes from the "Howard Hughes" sessions on our "Bye Bye" single (LT15). They are even more out there than Old Fashioned Werewolf Song is.
Some cover shots are by Steve Marcus from the Las Vegas Sun archive.
Case of Fire and Elevator
(4th floor) have already been released in October 1997 in a promo tape (LT
I), but only three copies exist.
We're not talking about romance we're not talking about you we're not talking with reason we're talking about Howard Hughes. The TightsEvery song (except Howard Hughes by Limbo) and all garrulous words by the Logan Brothers.
