Credits
The Day of the Animal Horse was recorded at Ballyhoo Valley, Blueberry Way, Logan Studio and Room 1505 between July 1996 and March 1997. Yeah, it's a bit more produced than the other tapes. We hope you're not disappointed. On the other hand: we're not your expectation. Mastering was done within three evenings in March 1997 at Ballyhoo Valley.
Besides we are Dan, Deke and Will with the instruments guitar, bass, percussion, organ, synth, basketball, metronom, microphone plus computer.
A big gracias to Johnny (guitar on Calm, Afternoon, Nameless 5) and to Niko (synth on Martian Marriage).
All songs and words by the Logan Brothers.

Notes
Hi, folks. Well, we did quite a lot stuff within a year. No more weirdness. There is nothing to refuse. For myself it still should be the same. In some open definition - in flow, you know. We don't give a name to the things we're doing. So you won't reach the contrary. Except when you're at home and everything breaks apart. In tiny pieces. Not in a personal or relational sense. Sometimes it won't help at all. Institutional critics, it's this issue again. Things to write mad short stories about.

Concerning the title: I've seen something similar on a concert poster in Munich. Guess it sounds funny and a song is written but it won't follow. There is no special "concept" behind the title related to the contents. Note that Battle... wasn't planned to be about a special person, but after thinking a while everything used to fit. And don't worry with all the deaths like bugs at our windscreens. We're still targets.

Let me tell you something about the songs. Sedona and Melinda (beware of the future) could have been on Battle..., too. We wrote it while finishing the last one. On the other hand they point to another direction. The lyrics to Gasoline are inspired by the fabulous Barbara Manning. An axis between Donna and Melinda will be extended to a triangle quite soon. Keep in mind that Martian is new wave (with a line by Ray Bradbury) and Crack is present tense now. I stole the connection All Night and Lotus Party from the Volcano Suns. Hear them on WAAX! Welcome weirdness - we suddenly hope for a rocket summer. And there were times when we were in conditions wherein we were without any weight.
Deke.
